WOLVES can strengthen their grip at the top of the Championship when they host Brentford today.

Wanderers moved 10 points clear thanks to a dramatic 2-1 win over promotion rivals Bristol City at Ashton Gate on Saturday.

But boss Nuno Espirito Santo was irritated by comments from City counterpart Lee Johnson before the match, when he said his side "need to do a job for the league" by beating Wolves.

Santo said: "We are a team in the competition, we are not fighting against anybody. We are competing in each game.

"The kind of things that have been said like: 'Let's beat Wolves to help the competition' doesn't help the game.

"We are not fighting against each other so let's stop with these things.

"Managers should worry about who they're going to face and not the competition as a whole."

Wolves will be without captain Danny Batth through suspension against Brentford after he was sent off at City.

Bees midfielder Alan Judge will be hoping to make his first appearance since August 2016 after recovering from a broken leg.

Aboubakar Kamara is pushing to start for Fulham when they host Ipswich.

The Frenchman climbed off the bench to score twice as the Cottagers came from behind to snatch a 2-2 draw at Hull on Saturday.

He told the club website: "To come back when we were 2-0 down makes it a very good point.

"We always have to keep our confidence high, and if we do that on Tuesday then we can do good things on the field against Ipswich."

Ipswich will check on central defender Adam Webster, who suffered an Achilles injury during Saturday's home defeat to Derby.

Reading boss Jaap Stam expects a tough encounter when lowly Birmingham arrive at the Madejski Stadium.

"We've spoken about it before, every team can beat each other," he said.

"Teams that aren't in the top half of the table can make it difficult for the teams at the top of the league as well.

"You need to work very hard for your points to climb the table."
