CHINA: The lunar probe that landed on the moon on Tuesday has now collected some rocks, scientists say.

Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said this was “a historic step in China’s co-operation with the international community in the peaceful use of outer space.”

From the rocks and debris, scientists hope to learn more about the moon, including its precise age.
