Teachers in canada prepare to strike for a better deal

A CANADIAN union representing primary school teachers across Ontario said today that they are ready to go on strike.

The Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO) said 98 per cent of its members had voted for industrial action, which will begin on November 26. 

ETFO president Sam Hammond said the action will target administrations but not affect pupils’ education or safety.
