THE strike wave sweeping Britain “isn’t going away,” unions warned yesterday, after new figures revealed record numbers are suffering from plummeting take-home pay and insecure work.

Floundering Tory Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s continued calls for “wage restraint” following a mini Cabinet reshuffle last week makes him look “more like the captain of the Titanic day by day,” Unite head Sharon Graham charged.

The richest PM in British history is “rearranging the deckchairs while he is posted missing on resolving strikes” across the NHS, railways, schools and elsewhere, she stressed.
