WOMEN’S RUGBY UNION: Defending champions Gloucester-Hartpury maintained their 100 per cent record in the English Women’s Premiership after coming from behind to beat Harlequins 33-26 at the Stoop on Sunday afternoon. 

Second-placed Saracens ran in five tries to secure a bonus point 33-12 win at Bristol, Meg Davey’s late try secured Loughborough’s 33-33 draw with Exeter and Sale slumped to a 22-64 home defeat by Ealing.

ICE HOCKEY: Jordan Kawaguchi bagged a hat-trick as last year’s Challenge Cup winners Belfast Giants saw off Dundee Stars 5-3 on Sunday evening to secure their semi-final spot in front of a 6,313 crowd. 

Joining the Giants in the last four will be Sheffield Steelers, Coventry Blaze and the winners of the elimination match between Glasgow Clan and Nottingham Panthers, the competition’s most successful club. 

WOMEN’S FOOTBALL: The third round of Champions League matches kick off on Tuesday evening with two teams still looking for their first point when Roma host Valerenga before unbeaten Real Madrid face Paris FC and Chelsea visit Austria to take on bottom of the table St Polten.

Tomorrow’s final fixture sees eight-time winners Lyon up against two-time champions Wolfsburg. The Germans lost three finals to Lyon between 2016-20.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: Megan Mullings top-scored with a massive 32 points as Sheffield Hatters continued their unbeaten start to the new Super League season with a comfortable 79-58 victory at Leicester Riders. 

Defending champions Oaklands Wolves got their first win of the campaign after brushing aside London 93-71 while Maaja Bratka netted 20 points as Manchester produced a dominant fourth-quarter to overcome Nottingham Wildcats 88-66.
