SPEEDWAY: Jason Doyle bagged 15+1 points as Ipswich Witches won 47-43 at Leicester on Thursday night to move top of the Premiership. Sheffield are up to second after they led from the first tape to see off Oxford 49-41 and gain the aggregate point. Patrik Wojdylo top-scored with a massive 17+1 points racing at number six to help bottom club King’s Lynn win their first match of the season, 49-41 over Birmingham.

MEN’S FOOTBALL: Highland League champions Buckie Thistle have been barred from their play-off with Lowland League counterparts East Kilbride after they failed to gain the Scottish FA’s bronze level licence. The Highlanders failed to meet regulations on floodlighting, diversity and inclusion and a safety officer. East Kilbride will meet either Clyde or Stranraer, who finish their League Two campaigns tomorrow, for a place in the Scottish League.

DARTS: Luke Littler beat Rob Cross 6-4 in Thursday night’s final in Aberdeen to take his second consecutive Premier League of Darts tournament. The 17-year-old has now sealed his place at the four-man end of season finale along with reigning World Champion Luke Humphries. Bottom of the table Peter Wright failed to win a game again after crashing out 6-4 to Michael Smith in his first match.
