WOMEN’S RUGBY:

Champions Gloucester-Hartpury lost their first game on the last day of the Women’s Premiership regular season after slipping to a narrow 33-31 defeat at Saracens, who will finish as runners-up.

Both teams are guaranteed home ties in the play-offs. Saturday’s other games saw bottom club Sale win 36-21 at Leicester, Loughborough edge out Ealing 19-18 and Deborah Wills score a hat-trick as third-placed Bristol saw off Harlequins 47-25.
