The second legs are scheduled for Sunday and bank holiday Monday.

HORSE RACING: The Willie Mullins-trained Galopin Des Champs beat Spillane’s Tower by a massive 22 lengths to win its first Punchestown Gold Cup on Wednesday.

The two-time Cheltenham Gold Cup champion, who missed out on a hat-trick of titles when finishing second to Inothewayurthinkin six weeks ago, was runner-up in the last two Punchestown Gold Cups. It has won 15 of its 24 races, finishing outside the top three only three times.

NETBALL: It’s second against third and a repeat of last year’s Super League play-off final when defending champions Loughborough host Manchester Thunder in Nottingham tomorrow evening.

Bottom-of-the-table Cardiff, who are still looking for their first win, are up against London Mavericks on Saturday before Birmingham play Leeds and table-topping London Pulse put their 100 per cent record on the line at Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
