MEN’S BASKETBALL: London Lions face a trip to Romania in the quarter-finals of the EuroCup after they were drawn away to Cluj-Napoca. Tournament favourites Paris face Spain’s Joventut Badalona in the last eight while Besitkas, who qualified with the worst record, are up against Tel Aviv and Bourg en Bresse, who lost only four times in the regular season to top Group B, take on Ukraine’s Slobozhanske.

MEN’S CYCLING: The route for tomorrow’s Queen stage in the Paris-Nice “race to the sun” has been dramatically modified due to low temperatures and heavy snow in the Alpes-Maritimes region. The peloton will detour to finish on the summit of the Madone d’Utelle after 15 kilometres of climbing. On Thursday in Sisteron Olav Kooij (Team Visma — Lease a Bike) outsprinted Mads Pedersen, who leads the points classification, to win his second stage.

MEN’S FOOTBALL: The two lowest ranked teams left in the FA Trophy meet in the quarter-finals tomorrow afternoon when two-time winners Macclesfield host Coalville Town. Last year’s runners-up Gateshead take on Peterborough Sports, second and third in the National League clash as 2022’s champions Bromley face Barnet and Solihull Moors travel to Wealdstone. Winning teams receive £7,500 in prize money, the losers just £2,000.

DARTS: World champion Luke Humphries beat Michael Smith 6-3 to claim the Premier League of Darts sixth round in Brighton on Thursday night. Humphries is now just one point behind table-topping Michael van Gerwen who went down 6-2 to Rob Cross in the first round. Peter Wright lost again, 6-5 to Smith and remains the only player without a win. Round seven of the 17-week tournament takes place in Nottingham next week.
