Hayley Turner was the first female jockey to reach 1,000 winners in July 2024.

MEN’S CRICKET: New Zealand take an unassailable 3-1 lead into Wednesday morning’s final leg of their Twenty20 series with Pakistan.

After suffering a nine-wicket thrashing in the third game the Kiwis hit back with a crushing 115-run victory in Mount Maunganui.

Chasing New Zealand’s 220-6 Pakistan were rolled over for just 105 with only two batsmen and extras reaching double figures. Jacob Duffy was again the pick of their bowlers with 4-20.

WOMEN’S FOOTBALL: Arsenal are 2-0 down before they face Real Madrid at Ashburton Grove tomorrow night in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final, while eight-time winners Lyon enjoy a 2-0 advantage over Bayern Munich in Wednesday evening’s other game.

Thursday’s last eight clashes see Wolfsburg seeking to overturn a 4-1 deficit at defending champions Barcelona and Manchester City taking a 2-0 lead to Chelsea.

SPEEDWAY: Dan Bewley top-scored with 13+1 points, but Belle Vue lost the first leg of their Knock-Out Cup tie 40-50 at home to last year’s runners-up Ipswich on Monday evening.

The other cup meetings saw Leicester race into a commanding 57-33 lead against a completely revamped Birmingham squad and Chris Harris bag a near perfect 17+1 points as King’s Lynn brushed aside Oxford 53-37.
