MEN’S RUGBY UNION:

Leinster slipped to a 22-21 home defeat by Ulster on Monday, but still lead the United Rugby Championship by two points from Benetton.

Last year’s champions Munster lost 22-9 to Connacht in Galway, the Dragons are off the bottom of the table after a narrow 13-12 victory over the Scarlets and despite atrocious conditions, the Ospreys came from 13 down to earn a bonus point 27-21 win over Cardiff.

MEN’S CRICKET:

David Warner begins his 112th and final Test Match in the early hours of this morning as Australia face Pakistan at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Warner has scored 8,695 test runs, averaging just under 45, but is perhaps best remembered for his one-year ban after instigating the sandpaper-gate ball tampering scandal in 2018.

Australia lead the two-match series 1-0 after winning the first test by 79 runs.

MEN’S ICE HOCKEY:

Sheffield Steelers take an eight point Elite League lead to second-placed Cardiff tonight after cruising to yet another win over Manchester in their bank holiday fixture.

The Steelers have two games in hand over their nearest challengers and are in superb form, netting 42 goals in an eight-match winning streak.

The Glasgow Clan travel to Dundee in this evening’s other fixture.

MEN’S FOOTBALL:

Guilsfield from second-tier Cymru North take on Cymru Premier’s runaway league leaders The New Saints in a Welsh League Cup semi-final this evening.

The Guils knocked out last year’s winners Bala in the third round. The Saints have won the competition a record nine times but have not lifted the trophy since 2018.

Swansea City’s Under 21s take on Cardiff Met in the other semi at their Landore training ground.
