MEN’S FOOTBALL:

The last 16 of Spain’s Copa Del Rey continues tomorrow evening with fourth-tier minnows  Pontevedra continuing their excellent cup run against La Liga’s Getafe.

Pontevedra have already knocked out Villarreal and Mallorca from the Spanish top-flight and Liga 2 outfit Levante.

Elsewhere tonight, Barcelona face Real Betis just three days after their 5-2 Spanish Super Cup final win over Real Madrid in Saudi Arabia.

MEN’S BASKETBALL:

Norman Powell netted 29 points as the LA Clippers held off Miami 109-98 to move top of the Pacific Western Conference after the LA Lakers went down 126-102 at home to San Antonio.

The Golden State Warriors also suffered a surprise 104-101 loss in Toronto.

Cleveland Cavaliers, the runaway national leaders get a quick chance to avenge only their fifth defeat of the season when they visit Indiana tomorrow morning.

ATHLETICS:

All four reigning Olympic and Paralympic champions are scheduled to take part in this year’s London Marathon.

Sifan Hassan, who became the first woman to win Olympic golds at marathon, 5,000 and 10,000 metres, has been added to the start lists that also include Ethiopia’s Tamirat Tola and Paralympic champions Catherine Debrunner, who won last year’s race, and six-time London winner Marcel Hug.

WOMEN’S FOOTBALL:

FA Cup-holders Manchester United were drawn at Wolverhampton Wanderers in the only fifth-round tie that is not subject to a rearranged fixture after the weekend’s freezing conditions.

United stuffed West Bromwich 7-0 to make it through, while Wolves won 2-0 at Cheltenham.

Rugby Borough, the lowest-ranked team definitely through to the last 16 will face Premier League opposition in either West Ham or Liverpool.
