Reigning champion Jack Holder, who rides for Belle Vue, sits in fourth place. Fricke is chasing his fourth title after winning three of the last four tournaments, Tungate won the 2018 championship and finished as runner up to Fricke a year later.

MEN’S CRICKET: Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli return to the Indian Twenty20 squad for the first time in over a year as they start a three match series against Afghanistan in Mohali tomorrow. Neither are currently ranked in the world’s top 40 batsmen for the short format game but Sharma will captain the team. Star Afghan spinner Rashid Khan is likely to miss the first match due to his recent back surgery.

MEN’S CYCLING: With the road racing season yet to start it’s already been confirmed that the world’s top four grand tour riders; Jonas Vingegaard, Tadej Pogacar, Remco Evenepoel and Primoz Roglic will only race against each other at the Tour de France. Vingegaard won last year’s Tour and was runner up in the La Vuelta whilst Roglic won the Giro. Pogacar finished second to Vingegaard in France.
