MEN’S FOOTBALL: Burnley became the first team from England’s second-tier to go 10 consecutive games without conceding a goal after they saw off Hull 2-0 at Turf Moor on Wednesday evening.

Burnley have only let in nine goals in their 32 league games and currently sit third in the Championship, five points behind table-topping Leeds and two points adrift of second-placed Sheffield United, who saw off Middlesbrough 3-1.

MEN’S RUGBY UNION: Defending champions England are the only unbeaten team as round three of the Six Nations Under-20s tournament kicks off on Friday evening.

After their 27-10 win over France last weekend, England are in Newcastle tomorrow night to play a Scottish team that has lost both of its opening games, while Wales face Ireland in Newport.

It’s third against second on Saturday when Italy host France in Treviso.

MEN’S CRICKET: Pakistan follow up their superb six-wicket win over South Africa in Wednesday’s one-day international with another Champions Trophy warm-up match against New Zealand in Karachi on Friday.

Chasing 353 to win Pakistan were 91-3 before Mohammed Rizwan hit an unbeaten 122 and Salman Ali Agha weighed in with 134 in a record-breaking fourth wicket partnership of 260 that saw them home with an over to spare.

MEN’S ICE HOCKEY: Cardiff Devils beat Challenge Cup holders Sheffield 4-1 in their semi-final second leg on Wednesday night to overturn a two goal first leg deficit with a 7-6 aggregate win.

In the other last four clash goals from Mark Cooper, Ciaran Long and Jordan Kawaguchi steered Belfast to a 3-0 first leg win over Nottingham in front of a crowd of over 6,000. Their second leg is due to take place in a fortnight.
