Eilidh Sinclair bagged a hat-trick as Exeter thrashed bottom club Sale 64-5 and Leicester hit back from last week’s points deduction with a 22-17 win at Loughborough.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL:
There was no change at the top of the British Basketball League after unbeaten London cruised past Newcastle 102-56 and their closest challengers Caledonia enjoyed two wins over Manchester.
Cardiff Met stay anchored to the bottom following a heavy 86-40 loss at third-placed Leicester, who also beat Durham 85-57, Sheffield overcame Oakland 101-73 on Sunday and Mari Stewart hit 19 points as Nottingham won 75-65 in Durham.
MEN’S CRICKET:
Australia beat defending champions India by 79 runs in the Men’s Under-19 World Cup final at South Africa’s Willowmoore Park on Sunday.
Chasing Australia’s 253-7, in which Hardash Singh top-scored with 55, India were soon in trouble at 55-3 and never recovered.
Mahli Beardman was the pick of the Aussie bowlers with 3-15. South African Kwena Maphaka was named as the player of the tournament.
WOMEN’S FOOTBALL:
The Scottish Women’s Premier League title race is back on after leaders Rangers failed to score for the first time this season and drew 0-0 at Partick.
Second-placed Celtic saw off Hibs 3-1 to move four points from the top, and Glasgow City beat Montrose 5-1 to remain two points further back.
Spartans crushed Dundee United 6-0, bottom club Hamilton edged Motherwell 2-1 and Aberdeen lost 4-0 at Hearts.
MEN’S ICE HOCKEY:
Britain followed up their 10-1 win over China by crushing Serbia 11-0 and seeing off Romania 7-4 on Sunday night to move into the final qualifying stages for Milan’s 2026 Winter Olympics.
There are only three places left up for grabs as hosts Italy and the top eight from last year’s World Championships are already through.
Britain are currently ranked as the 20th best team in the world.
