MEN’S BASKETBALL: Minnesota came from 15 points down at half-time to beat defending NBA champions Denver 98-90 this morning.

They will play Dallas in the Western Conference final after PJ Washington’s late free throws earned them a 117-116 win over Oklahoma City in the deciding leg of their semi-final.

Boston Celtics will face Indiana in the Eastern Conference final, with their first leg scheduled for Wednesday morning.

WOMEN’S RUGBY UNION: Table-topping Gloucester-Hartpury ran in nine tries to thrash Ealing 59-12 on Sunday, securing first place in the English Women’s Premiership and a home semi-final in the play-offs.

The weekend’s other fixtures saw their nearest challengers Saracens romp to a 57-7 rout at third-placed Exeter, Bristol overwhelm struggling Leicester 62-24 and Loughborough beat Harlequins 38-19.

WOMEN’S FOOTBALL: Amy Gallacher’s superb 90th-minute strike sealed Celtic’s 1-0 win over Hibs at Parkhead on Sunday and their first ever Scottish Women’s Premier League title.

Rangers finished second on goal difference despite thumping Partick 4-0 and defending champions Glasgow City were third after beating Hearts 2-0.

Hamilton lost 3-0 at home to Montrose to confirm their bottom place, Motherwell won 1-0 at Dundee United and Spartans edged Aberdeen 2-1.

BASKETBALL: London Lions needed a three-pointer from Sam Dekker with less than 10 seconds on the clock to hold off a spirited Cheshire Phoenix 88-85 and lift the British Basketball League play-off trophy on Sunday evening.

Earlier in the day, Abby Meyers netted 31 points as London’s women overwhelmed Newcastle 92-65 to win their fourth consecutive play-off title and wrap up a domestic quadruple that saw them go unbeaten throughout the season.
