MANCHESTER UNITED boss Marc Skinner has signed a new contract with the club running to June 2027, with the option of an extra year.

The 42-year-old is in his fourth season in the job, having succeeded Casey Stoney in the summer of 2021, and guided United to their first major trophy last term when they won the FA Cup.

Skinner said in a statement from United: “It has been an absolute privilege to serve as head coach for this fantastic football club for the past four years, and I am delighted to be extending my time in the role for at least a further two years.
