Scottish Water workers launch two-day strike over pay

SCOTTISH Water workers have launched a two-day strike over an ongoing pay row.

Unison, which represents more than 1,000 staff, warned emergency repairs and water quality checks will not be carried out until the walkout ends on Thursday.

The action follow a one-day strike last month after Unison rejected a 2.6 per cent pay offer it said “fails to compensate staff for a decade of real-terms pay cuts."
