NURSES are set to stage fresh strikes across England after rejecting the latest below-inflation pay offer from Tory ministers earlier today.

The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) announced its members will walk out for 48 hours from the evening of April 30 after 54 per cent voted to reject a cash payment for 2022-23 and 5 per cent for this year on a 61 per cent turnout.

General secretary Pat Cullen had urged members to accept the deal, which came in March after three months of intermittent strikes.
