PSC Cymru marks two years of Gaza genocide and calls for it to end
People take part in a Palestine Solidarity Campaign rally in central London, November 30, 2024

PALESTINIAN campaigners in Wales called for an end to two years of genocide in Gaza by the Israeli state today.

Palestine Solidarity Campaign Cymru condemned the actions of Israel and the British government’s complicity in the genocide.

PSC Cymru pledged to continue to work with other groups and activists across Wales until there is an end to the genocide and the liberation of the Palestinian people.

The group said it had recently led a call for the Senedd to fly the Palestinian flag in solidarity and its open letter to the Llwywd (Senedd speaker) attracted the support of over 60 organisations in Wales.

PSC Cymru co-chairwoman Bethan Sayed said: “The Senedd was the first nation in the UK to vote for a ceasefire, and we continue to call on its members to go further than words and take tangible actions to help end the slaughter.”

Cardiff, Carmarthenshire, Monmouthshire and Newport Councils have passed motions calling for divestment of pension funds, and PSC Cymru said it was a key force in the campaigns and will continue that work.
