Partygate: Boris Johnson ‘deflected and blamed everyone but himself’
Former PM testifies at crucial hearing on whether he misled Parliament about lockdown parties

BORIS JOHNSON has “deflected and blamed everyone but himself” for the “partygate” scandal, a campaign group representing families bereaved by coronavirus charged yesterday.

The Tory former prime minister, who attempted to defend himself over claims he knowingly misled MPs about lockdown parties in Downing Street in a major hearing yesterday, is “lying to our faces,” Covid-19 Bereaved Families for Justice’s Rivka Gottlieb said.

Ahead of Mr Johnson’s appearance before the privileges committee, which holds his political future in its hands, the group joined fellow campaigning organisation 38 Degrees in driving an ad van around Westminster displaying messages directed at the ex-Tory leader.
