Palestine supporters target office of Sheffield Labour MP over failure to back Gaza ceasefire
A PROTEST was staged outside the constituency office of Labour MP Gill Furniss today over her failure to support a Commons motion calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.
The Sheffield, Brightside and Hillsborough MP obeyed Labour’s three-line whip ordering MPs to abstain on a pro-ceasefire motion put forward by the SNP last week.
Protesters wielded placards stating that the number of children killed in Gaza is roughly the same as the number of children attending 11 primary schools in the MP’s constituency – 7,000.
