Owen Jones kicked out of Labour conference

JOURNALIST Owen Jones accused Labour of ”Trumpian behaviour“ today after he was kicked out the party’s conference in Liverpool.

The political commentator shared a screenshot on X of an official email informing him that his press pass had been revoked with immediate effect “following complaints we have received about your conduct.“

“After careful consideration, we’ve concluded that we cannot continue your attendance while ensuring we meet our safeguarding obligations to all attendees,” the email from Labour’s conference services read.

Blasting the move as “absolutely pathetic,” he said: “They are here suggesting that attempts to question Cabinet members and MPs about Britain facilitating Israel's genocide is a ‘safeguarding issue.’

“This is clearly insane,” he said, adding that this was the first time his press pass had been revoked in over a decade of filming at government party conferences.
