Man City report ‘disgusting’ abuse of Shaw to police
Manchester City's Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw celebrates after scoring their side's third goal during the FA Women's Super League match at Goodison Park, Liverpool, September 4, 2021

MANCHESTER CITY record goalscorer Bunny Shaw was sent racist and misogynistic messages following Sunday’s Women’s Super League game against Arsenal, the club confirmed today.

City have reported the matter to the police and promised to support the player over “the disgusting treatment” she received in the aftermath of the 4-3 loss at the Academy Stadium.

The Jamaican, who has scored 86 goals for the club, made her 100th City appearance when she came off the bench in the 66th minute of the contest. It was only her second outing since an injury early in December.
