Fifa backs checks at World Cup but resistance remains over extending VAR’s role
ENGLAND forward Michelle Agyemang has ended her loan spell at Brighton to continue her recovery from a season-ending knee injury at parent club Arsenal, it was reported yesterday.
The 19-year-old ruptured an anterior cruciate ligament during her country’s 3-0 friendly win over Australia on October 28.
Agyemang, who has registered three goals in seven international caps, helped England to glory at Euro 2025 last summer by claiming crucial equalisers in the quarter-finals and semi-finals.
The teenager scored once in eight Brighton appearances this season after returning to the club following a successful loan last term.
Albion head coach Dario Vidosic told the club website: “Naturally, we’re disappointed that her second loan spell with the club has come to an end, but her rehab and mental wellbeing must remain the priority.”
