Kenya's president nominates new deputy after previous VP was impeached

KENYA’S president nominated the country’s interior minister today as his new deputy, hours after Rigathi Gachagua was overwhelmingly voted out by parliament as deputy president.
Mr Gachagua, who was in hospital while the vote was held, was removed after being accused of corruption and ethnic division.
President William Ruto named Kithure Kindiki as his new deputy.
