ISRAELI forces killed at least six Palestinians during air attacks in southern and central Gaza on Friday.
The six were killed during Israeli drone attacks that targeted two police posts in the Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip and the al-Mawasi area in Khan Younis in the south.
Sources at Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis say they received four bodies from the strikes that hit an area outside the control of the Israeli military. They also said many others were wounded by the attack, with some in critical condition.
The other two killed were hit at the entrance to the Bureij refugee camp.
Since the so-called truce came into force on October 10 2025, Israeli forces have killed more than 600 Palestinians, have continued to block humanitarian aid reaching Gaza and have not allowed many to leave to receive medical treatment under the terms of the deal.
There was no immediate comment from Israel.
In a statement, Hamas said Israel was continuing its war of extermination against the Palestinians, despite some changes to form and method, indicating that “the talk of the guarantor states about stopping the war lacks any real substance on the ground.”
This came a day after it was reported that the family of independent UN investigator Francesca Albanese sued the Trump administration over sanctions it imposed last year over her criticism of Israel’s war against the Palestinians in Gaza.
The lawsuit, filed on Wednesday in the US District Court in Washington, says the penalties violate the US Constitution’s First Amendment.
“At its heart, this case concerns whether defendants can sanction a person — ruining their life and the lives of their loved ones, including their citizen daughter — because defendants disagree with their recommendations or fear their persuasiveness,” according to the filing.
The State Department dismissed the lawsuit as “baseless lawfare” and defended the US sanctions against Ms Albanese as “legal and appropriate.”
