Corbyn joins calls for justice for Deliveroo rider who fell seriously ill while working
Former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn with ADCU general secretary James Farrar (to his left) and Labour MP Apsana Begum (on Jeremy's right) join ADCU members and supporters at a rally in Tower Hamlets

JEREMY CORBYN demanded an end to the exploitation of gig economy workers today at a London rally which had been called after a Deliveroo rider fell seriously ill while working.

The worker, Mohammed, collapsed while delivering food to the exclusive Meranti House in Aldgate, east London, at about 10:30pm on February 23.

The unconscious driver was denied access to the building’s lobby and instead left outside in the cold during a one-hour wait for an ambulance.
