Gotham FC leaves us on the edge of our seats as they set the NWSL trophy in their sights
A new start and a new image: an impressive campaign sees the US club rise from the bottom, says JAMES NALTON

“I ASSURE you all, we are NOT okay with being at the bottom of the table,” said Yael Averbuch West, the general manager of NJ/NY Gotham FC at the end of the 2022 NWSL campaign.

“This position is all too common for this club. Here’s why you can have faith in the future of what we’re building.”

Averbuch West was speaking after Gotham finished the 2022 season winning just once at home in all competitions.
