G7 focus on tactics against China, Russia and Iran, while ignoring global vaccine crisis

MINISTERS at the G7 summit today focused on tactics against China, Russia and Iran, while ignoring the demands of campaigners to address the pandemic inequality.

Activists from Global Justice Network gathered outside of the meeting on Saturday to remind leaders that in order to end the pandemic, they must suspend patents on vaccines and end pharmaceutical monopolies.

The group said on Twitter: “The number one priority for G7 leaders in Liverpool must be ending vaccine apartheid.
