First Minister's Questions celebrates Eluned Morgan's 20th session as leader
First Minister of Wales Eluned Morgan speaks during the Labour Party Conference at the ACC Liverpool, September 23, 2024

FIRST Minister Eluned Morgan celebrated her 20th Senedd Questions today, using the session to urge support for her government’s Budget.

Welsh Conservative leader Darren Millar pushed Ms Morgan to say sorry to farmers for Westminster’s revised inheritance tax rules.

“When you were asked about changes to inheritance tax on farms, you suggested that it’s only very wealthy people that would have to pay, but both you and I know that that is not the case,” Mr Millar said, adding:  “Will you now apologise to Welsh farmers for that broken promise?”
