Young communists present artwork to Cuban embassy in expression of solidarity
Young Communist League, Communist Party of Britain, and Cuban Embassy staff [Joe Weaver]

YOUNG communists in London have met Cuban Ambassador Barbara Montalvo Alvarez at the Latin American country’s embassy to present her with a large stone artwork in an expression of solidarity and friendship.

The tablet featured the first sentence of Young Communist League’s constitution stylistically carved within it, reading: “The League member shall be a lover of freedom and an enemy of oppression and believe that real freedom is only possible under socialism.”

Ms Montalvo Alvarez said that the artwork was an “outstanding work of solidarity and friendship between the Young Communist League and the Cuban people.”
