THREE in five parents and guardians support teachers going on strike, a poll published today reveals.

The findings came as educators across Wales, the south of England and London downed tools over plummeting take-home pay on the third day of regional walkouts called by the National Education Union (NEU). 

The Ipsos survey shows that 60 per cent of parents and guardians back teachers taking industrial action, compared to 48 per cent of the entire population.
