THE Tory government is under pressure to publish a report that could potentially protect millions of workers from exploitative fire-and-rehire tactics.

Workplace conciliation body Acas handed its report on the strategy to ministers last month, but the findings are yet to be released. 

SNP MP Gavin Newlands warned on Saturday that any further delay will put workers currently striking against the tactics, such as GMB union members at British Gas, at risk of losing their jobs.
