National Express blasted for ‘union-busting bullying’ to break upcoming strike in the Midlands

TRANSPORT union Unite accused National Express today of engaging in a “concerted union-busting campaign” ahead of a pay strike by almost 3,500 West Midlands bus workers next week.
The transport union accused the firm, which runs regional bus services, of attempting to intimidate staff as they gear up for indefinite all-out strikes over take-home wage cuts from next Thursday.
Bosses are “dragging individuals into one-to-one meetings and browbeating them about putting the local community at risk, texting workers demanding to know if they intend to walk out and threatening job losses,” according to Unite.
