Government's emergency NHS plan cannot ignore staffing and funding issues, unions warn

THE government’s emergency NHS care plan cannot ignore the staffing and funding issues that have led to the crisis, unions warned today.
Their words came ahead of Prime Minister Rishu Sunak’s announcement of more hospital beds and 800 new ambulances for the service.
The additions are a part of a two-year plan to boost emergency care amid a crisis, backed by a £1 billion fund.
