BORIS JOHNSON failed to show up to his own press conference in Luxembourg yesterday due to anti-Brexit protesters.
The PM organised the press talk following a meeting with European Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker.
Luxembourg’s Prime Minister Xavier Bettel, who was appearing alongside him, went ahead with the press conference without Mr Johnson present.
Criticising Mr Johnson, he said: “Demonstrating is a right in democracy and it is also important to be able to exchange and listen to each other.”
He also told Mr Johnson: “Stop speaking and act.”
A Downing Street source said Mr Johnson intends to release a clip to the press explaining his position on his discussions with Mr Juncker.
It was the first time the two men have met since Mr Johnson became PM in late July.
