Anti-arms campaigners call on government to end secrecy over US nuclear weapons in Britain

ANTI-ARMS campaigners have called on the government to end its secrecy over the deployment of US nuclear weapons to Britain.

US National Nuclear Security Administration’s Jill Hruby said last week that the new B61-12 nuclear bombs are “fully forward deployed” — a military term that suggests that bombs are being delivered to Nato bases across Europe.

The satellite-guided bombs have three times the destructive power of the US atomic bomb that killed over 200,000 people in the 1945 Hiroshima attack.
