Annual household bills have increased dramatically over the last year, comparison site finds

THE combined annual household bills for home insurance, energy and cars have increased dramatically over the last year, Comparethemarket revealed today.

The comparison website compared the costs from November 2022 with the those of the same time last year.

Annual energy costs have reached about £2,500 for a typical household in Britain under the energy price guarantee, a temporary measure limiting the amount suppliers can charge per unit of gas and electricity.
