Bringing the NHS back from the brink
ANDY BURNHAM explains why he was so proud to take part in the People’s March for the NHS, and sets out his vision for repairing the damage the Tories have inflicted on Britain’s most valued service

LAST week, I joined the People’s March for the NHS as it made its way into Bedford town centre.

I found myself walking alongside an elderly lady called Anita. 

She had severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and was carrying the oxygen bottles that fed the tube into her nose in her walking frame.
