The Gers remain four points clear, but Celtic slipped to third on goal difference after reigning champions Glasgow City won 3-0 at Motherwell.
Hamilton drew 1-1 with Spartans to move off the bottom, Aberdeen edged out Dundee United 4-3, Hibs drew 1-1 at Partick and Hearts thumped new bottom club Montrose 4-0.
MEN’S ICE HOCKEY: Sheffield Steelers scored three times without reply in the third period as they came from behind to squeeze past Guildford 4-2 and moved 14 points clear in the Elite League.
The Steelers have suffered just one defeat in their last 23 games. Elsewhere in the league, second-placed Cardiff enjoyed wins over Dundee and Fife, who also lost 3-2 in overtime to bottom club Nottingham.

WOMEN’S RUGBY UNION: Defending champions Gloucester-Hartpury ran in five tries as they came from behind to win their game in hand, seeing off bottom of the table Sale 29-3, and moved top of the English Women’s Premiership by four points from second-placed Saracens.
Gloucester-Hartpury are unbeaten in all 10 games this season and make the return journey to Manchester to take on Sale, who have won just once all season, next week.
