MEN’S CRICKET: Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton smashed the fastest ever century in International Twenty20 cricket, taking just 33 balls to reach three figures, as Namibia beat Nepal by 20 runs in Kirtipur on Tuesday. The Namibians face the Netherlands at the same venue tomorrow in the second game of this triangular series. Namibia are ranked as the world’s eleventh best short format team with the Dutch fifteenth, one place above Nepal.

MEN’S ICE HOCKEY: Dundee forward Brendan Harms escaped with a fine and one match suspension after he “sucker-punched” an opponent to the ice during their 6-3 loss to the Cardiff Devils. Harms has not previously been fined or suspended this season. Devils head coach Pete Russell, who also manages the British national team, was fined and warned about his future conduct following an incident after their recent 5-1 loss in Nottingham.

MEN’S FOOTBALL: Dundee United still lead the Scottish Championship on goal difference despite slipping to a 2-0 home defeat by Airdrieonians after second-placed Raith struggled to a 0-0 draw with Greenock Morton, who extended their unbeaten run to thirteen games. Ruari Paton scored twice as Queens Park thrashed bottom club Arbroath 6-0, Ayr edged out Partick 4-3 and Inverness drew 0-0 with Dunfermline in the other midweek games.

MEN’S BASKETBALL: Britain sit third in Group F of the EuroBasket 2025 qualifiers after they lost out 90-82 to Czechia in Pardubice. Myles Hesson had top-scored with 23 points when Britain pipped the Netherlands 98-94 in their opening game. The competition now takes a break until November when the Brits will next face unbeaten group leaders Greece. A British team has not qualified for the EuroBasket finals since 1961.
