'Roll back the red carpet for racist, misogynist Trump,' says Richard Leonard

SCOTLAND must shame Donald Trump for his “misogynist, racist and anti-trade union views” and roll back the “red carpet,” Richard Leonard declared yesterday.

The Scottish Labour leader was speaking prior to today’s announcement of demonstrations against the US president’s visit to Britain in Glasgow and Edinburgh on July 13 and 14.

Mr Leonard said: “There is understandable anger at the prospect of Donald Trump coming to Scotland and a strong desire across the country to show that he is not welcome here.
