FAKE adverts highlighting Reform UK leader Nigel Farage’s Establishment ties and undeclared donations have appeared across London.

Campaigners from Climate Resistance said that they had replaced bus stop adverts on the eve of the Clacton by-election on Thursday.

Mr Farage triggered the vote claiming that it would be “the people versus the Establishment” but is now fighting to keep his seat against satirical candidate Count Binface.

The activist group’s advert read: “If you hang out with an aristocrat who can spot you £500,000, then you are the Establishment.

“If your mate sends you a ‘gift’ worth more than Clacton Pier, then you are the Establishment.” 

Mr Farage stepped down as Clacton MP as investigations were being launched into his receipt of undeclared donations, including a £5 million “gift” from billionaire Christopher Harborne and two £250,000 donations linked to convicted fraudster George Cottrell.

Climate Resistance’s Sam Simons said: “Nigel Farage isn’t fighting the Establishment — he is the Establishment. Bankrolled by billionaires to further the interests of the super rich, he has no interest in working for ordinary people. 

“While residents of Clacton struggle to put food on the table, Farage is rolling in dodgy donations that most of his constituents could hardly dream of.

“Whatever happens with this sham of a by-election, we need to keep exposing Farage and Reform UK for exactly who they are: a party run by and for bankers, billionaires, and big business. We all need to come together to resist the rise of Reform.”
