Israeli forces kill at least two Palestinians during new violations of Gaza ceasefire
Mourners take the last look at the body of Jamal Abu Aoun, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike, during his funeral at al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip, May 30, 2026

ISRAELI forces killed at least two Palestinians and injured several others as they again violated the “ceasefire” in Gaza on Saturday.

Saturday’s attacks across Palestine came during the fourth day of the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha and broke the US-brokered ceasefire agreed with Hamas and its allies last October.

At least 922 Palestinians have been killed and another 2,786 injured during Israeli violations of the ceasefire.

The Israeli attacks also added to the death toll of medics in Gaza.

Dr Jamal Abu Aboun, the head of the anaesthesia department at al-Yafa Medical Hospital in central Gaza’s Deir al-Balah, was killed when the Israelis attacked a target near the al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital on Saturday.

A source from the hospital told the Anadolu news agency: “The body of Jamal Abu Aboun and three injured people, including a child, had arrived at the hospital following an Israeli drone strike that targeted a group of civilians near the hospital.”

Later on Saturday, another Palestinian was killed and several others wounded in an Israeli drone strike near Firas Market, one of Gaza City’s busiest commercial areas, according to Palestinian news agency Wafa.

Israeli forces also demolished homes east of Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza.

Meanwhile, in occupied Palestine, Israeli settlers attacked several homes on Saturday in the town of Beita, south of the city of Nablus in the northern West Bank, according to Wafa.

The settlers threw stones at houses and smashed several vehicles, according to Wafa.

In the southern West Bank, settlers attacked Palestinian farmland in Khirbet el-Muraq in Masafer Yatta, activist Osama Makhamra, who follows Israeli violations south of Hebron, told reporters.

Israeli settlers carried out at least 540 attacks in April against Palestinians and their property in the occupied West Bank, including Jerusalem, according to a monthly report by the Palestinian state-run Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission.
