ZACK POLANSKI insisted today that the Scottish Greens can “replace” Labour in May’s Scottish Parliament elections.
The leader of the Green Party of England and Wales made the remarks ahead of joining Scottish Greens co-leaders Gillian Mackay and Ross Greer on the Holyrood campaign trail today.
Mr Polanski said: “With Labour failing and disappointing people on so many levels, more and more people are looking to the Greens for the first time.
“We don’t just want to beat Labour, we want to replace them and build the kind of fairer, greener country that Labour has long promised but will never deliver.
“Whether in Scotland, England or Wales, it is the Greens who are standing for hope and calling for the bold change that is needed.”
Welcoming his visit, Ms McKay said: “He is a fantastic and powerful voice for change and we are proud to have him in Scotland.
“Our movement is stronger when we stand together and when Green parties support each other.
“The Scottish Greens are picking up new supporters every day for our vision of a fairer, greener and independent Scotland.”
