MEN’S BOXING: The European featherweight title and a shot at the world title are both on the line when Nathaniel Collins meets Barcelona’s Cristobal Lorente in tonight’s rematch at Glasgow’s Hydro Arena.

Last October’s first bout finished as a split-decision draw with both fighters retaining their unbeaten records.

On the undercard Royston Barney-Smith fights Conor McIntosh for the vacant British and Commonwealth Featherweight belts.

SNOOKER: 2023’s champion Luca Brecel lost out 10-5 to 2024’s runner-up Jak Jones in the final qualifying round for this year’s World Snooker Championship.

Jones will be joined in the first round, which begins tomorrow, by a record-breaking 11 Chinese players.

World number 18 Jack Lisowski misses out after losing 10-5 to He Guoqiang and 2015’s winner Stuart Bingham went down 10-7 to Wales’s Matthew Stevens.

MEN’S CRICKET: Scotland face Namibia in Windhoek tomorrow for another Twenty20 fixture after beating their hosts by seven wickets on Wednesday.

Chasing 160 to win, George Munsey and Brandon McMullen both hit 44 to see the Scots home with seven balls to spare.

Mark Watt was the pick of the Scottish bowlers, with 2-24 from his four overs. The final match in the series is due to take place tomorrow.

MEN’S FOOTBALL: Champions League sensations Bodo/Glimt continued their stuttering start to the new Norwegian Eliteserien season after Sondre Brunstad Fet’s second-half penalty salvaged them a 1-1 draw at Sarpsborg 08 on Wednesday evening.

Bodo/Glimt have only won one of their opening five games and are already eight points behind table-toppers Tromso. They face KFUM Oslo in the Norwegian Cup semi-finals on Saturday.
