WOMEN’S FOOTBALL: Glasgow City kept their 100 per cent record intact and moved top of the Scottish Premiership by two points with a game in hand after Nicole Kozlova’s late goal helped them edge previous leaders Rangers 1-0.

Celtic won 4-0 at Montrose to move second, Hearts scored five second-half goals to thump Partick 5-0, Motherwell beat Aberdeen 2-0 and defending champions Hibs eased to a 5-0 win at bottom club Hamilton.

MEN’S CRICKET: World number ones India beat Pakistan by five wickets with just two balls to spare to win Sunday evening’s Asia Cup Twenty20 final in Dubai.

Chasing Pakistan’s 146 all out, India were struggling at 20-3 before Tilak Varma hit an unbeaten 69 from 53 balls and Sanju Samson smashed a rapid 33 to steer them home.

Faheem Ashraf was the pick of the Pakistani bowlers with 3-29.

MEN’S FOOTBALL: The next round of Champions League matches kick off on Tuesday evening with Athletico Madrid looking to follow up their stunning 5-2 La Liga victory over Real Madrid at the weekend when they host Eintracht Frankfurt.

Real are in Kazakhstan to face Kairat Almaty. Among the other fixtures, Tottenham travel to Bodo/Glimt, Liverpool are at Galatasary, Chelsea face Benfica and six-time winners Bayern Munich visit Cyprus’ Pafos.

WHEELCHAIR RUGBY LEAGUE: Jack Brown scored four tries and captain Rob Hawkins wheeled in a hat-trick as Halifax Panthers beat London Roosters 42-32 in Sunday’s Super League Grand Final.

The win wrapped up the treble for Halifax, who also finished the season unbeaten after overcoming London to lift the Challenge Cup final in June and finishing ahead of them on points difference in the Super League.
