MEN’S GOLF: Southport-born Tommy Fleetwood won his first ever PGA tournament after finishing three shots clear of Americans Patrick Cantlay and Russell Henley to claim the Tour Championship in Atlanta on Sunday night. World number one Scottie Scheffler was a shot further back in fourth place with Rory McIlroy a distant 23rd. Fleetwood, who won silver at the 2024 Olympics, picked up £7.4 million in prize money.
