SPEEDWAY: Oxford Spires remain without a win from their first six Premiership matches after they went down to a 59-31 defeat at King’s Lynn on Monday evening with Richard Lawson bagging 10+3 points as top-scorer for the hosts. Birmingham are also still searching for their first points after they were behind from the first tape in a 40-50 home loss to Leicester. Max Fricke top-scored with 12+2 for Leicester.

WOMEN’S FOOTBALL: Chelsea get a quick chance to recover from their Champions League semi-final exit at the hands of Barcelona when they visit Manchester United in the Super League tomorrow night. With three games to go Chelsea top the table by six points from Arsenal, who are in Birmingham to face Aston Villa tomorrow evening. Arsenal will meet Barcelona in the Champions League final after romping to a 4-1 win in Lyon at the weekend.

MEN’S CRICKET: 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi became the youngest player to score a century in the Indian Premier League (IPL) when he smashed seven fours and 11 sixes en route to 101 from just 38 balls as Rajasthan eased to an eight-wicket win over Gujarat on Monday. Suryavanshi’s 100 is also the fastest by a home-grown player in the IPL and second only to Chris Gayle’s 2013 slugfest in the all-time list.

MEN’S RUGBY UNION: It’s second against third in the Welsh Premiership tomorrow evening as Pontypridd take on Neath at Sardis Road. Nine-time champions Neath are the most successful team in Premiership rugby but with two games remaining neither team can catch this year’s winners Merthyr who sealed the title with a comfortable 48-24 win at Brecon. Tomorrow night’s other game is the mid-table clash between Cross Keys and Llangennech.
